Reflection

Over the past couple of days it was really difficult to start making the props and wallpaper I need for the installation because I didn't know the actual scale. So with the help of my tutor, we looked at the room plan and using that we drew the plan for my tunnel from top, side and front view.

This required a lot of focus as getting the final measurements is crucial. For drawing the plan we used 1:25 scale, we remeasured the wall and how wide the tune should so I suggested about the size of 2 people walking next to each other and that cam up to 90cm. But from that we decided it would be interning to gradually after the corner it goes down to 60cm as it goes to the section of Claustrophobia (fear of tight space).

After putting down the correct and final measurements, we discussed the interior design of the tunnel. Starting at the front of the tunnel it will begin with Arachnophobia (fear of spiders) then bending that on to Entomophobia (fear of insects), Trypophobia (fear of a pattern of holes), Claustrophobia (fear of tight space) and lastly Spectrophobia (fear of mirrors). However, after discussing what will be in each section, we developed the idea of the mini tunnel for Claustrophobia, the tunnels roff will slowly start to slow down in to mini tunnel, this will make the audience confused as they would have to start bending down slowly to start crawling in to the tunnel have the feeling of walking through tight cave.

At the end of the tunnel there was a lot of space left that I could include another phobia, so I looked back at the interview research I had done and decided to include hemophobia (fear of blood). In this section I will be using the floor instead of the sides of the tunnel, I would have the audience take of their shoes in the start of the tunnel and have them wear plastic shoe covers on their socks so that when they step in to a big container filled will fake organs and an ocean of fake blood it gives them the full experience.
